WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A water main broke in West Hollywood Wednesday, leaving about 12 to 15 single and multi-family buildings in the area without water service.

The main broke in the 8800 block of Harratt Street at about 4:05 p.m., Beverly Hills police said. The water was shut off about an hour-and-a-half later.

As of 9:30 a.m. Thursday, water service had still not been restored to those affected.

The Beverly Hills Water Company said several homes sustained water damage and at least one resident has been displaced. Bottled water is being provided.
