PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police were investigating a possible homicide after finding a woman's dead body across the street from the LAPD's Foothill station in Pacoima.

The woman, who was about 34 to 35 years old, appeared to have been stabbed multiple times in the torso. Her body was found at about 7:15 p.m. in a parking lot between a 7-Eleven and a car wash in the 12700 block of Osborne Street.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A friend of a witness said his friend was standing near the victim at a bus stop.

"This guy (suspect) was trying to chase, kissing, take her to the car. They know each other, but she was running away from him," Juan Rodriguez said.

LAPD detectives were on scene to investigate. They were looking into a vehicle that may have left the scene and be tied to the crime.
