CHP helps escort pig crossing Santa Paula road

SANTA PAULA, Calif. (KABC) -- You've heard of a chicken crossing the road but what about a pig?

The California Highway Patrol responded to a call overnight on Monday about a pig walking on Highway 150 in Santa Paula.

Officers arrived at the scene and chased the animal off the road.

The pig eventually wandered to a nearby property, where it was locked safely inside a pen.
