Rare polar bear triplets born at Netherlands wildlife park

UTRECHT, Netherlands (KABC) -- A wildlife park in the Netherlands is celebrating the rare birth of polar bear triplets.

Proud mother, Freedom, gave birth to her cubs on Saturday.

Everyone is keeping a close watch on the happy family by closed-circuit cameras.

Park staffers have not approached the polar bears yet because they don't want to risk upsetting mama bear. So for now, they don't know what gender the triplets are or how much they weigh.

Park officials said Freedom is an experienced mother and was looking after her babies very well.
