SAN DIEGO (KABC) -- A San Diego man, who was on a boat in Mission Bay posing for a photo while holding a fish, was attacked by a sea lion and sent to the hospital.

The man was holding a fish he had caught when the sea lion pulled him over the side of the boat and into the water, authorities said. The 300-pound marine animal grabbed the fish, bit the man and dragged him 20 feet across the water.

He was taken to a hospital where he was treated for puncture wounds and lacerations to his hand and leg.
