Toddler and German shepherd get ready for bedtime in adorable video

When the day is over and it's time to go to bed, the fun for 4-year-old Alexander and his German shepherd is just beginning.

Baron joins in on all the bedtime fun with Alexander, helping him get tucked, listening to the 4-year-old read a story and even turns out the light when it's time to go to sleep. Alexander and Baron both live with the boy's mom Linda, a dog trainer, in Chesterfield, Va.

Video of the duo's adorable bedtime ritual has received over 1.3 million views on YouTube, with many expressing their awe over Baron's training.

"German shepherds are very smart animals. This particular one is really amazing, though. They must spend a lot of time with that dog to train it. What a loveable dog!!!" wrote one YouTube user.

Baron is quite the popular dog on social media, with over 54,000 followers watching his adventures on on Facebook and Instagram.
