Two suspected burglars were captured on home surveillance video entering the yard of a Tarzana home while the owners were away.

"They were just walking around the backyard trying to figure out how to get in," said Shirin Delkhah, a resident of the home.

Delkhah and her husband received motion alerts on their phones and saw the men on their security system's cameras.

"My husband talked through the two-way audio of the spotlight, the Ring spotlight, and as soon as they heard his voice they ran away," Delkhah said.

The family installed the surveillance system after two recent break-ins.

"It's not a good feeling. You come home to a ransacked house. You feel unsafe. You feel violated. Someone's been in your house. Someone's been in your stuff," said Delkhah.

The Los Angeles Police Department said it appears the same two suspects were caught on video attempting to burglarize a home in Encino and breaking into another house in Sherman Oaks.

They appear to be dressed in the same clothes in each case: both wearing hoodies and one with a mask.

In Tarzana, they jumped into a black car to make their getaway.

The neighborhood, meanwhile, is on high alert while the suspects remain at large.

"We've being very vigilant. Everybody is posting any suspicious activity that they see in the street immediately goes on Facebook," Delkhah said.
