Hillary Clinton raises funds, talks tech in LA visit
HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Hillary Clinton returned to Southern California on Tuesday for a series of technology-themed events, including a town hall with digital content creators and two high-priced fundraisers hosted by business leaders.
Before Clinton arrived in Los Angeles, her campaign announced a new technology initiative.
It includes plans to connect every household to high-speed internet by 2020, allow entrepreneurs to defer student loans for three years and give every student some computer-science education before graduation.
Clinton then appeared at a town hall event in Hollywood with influencers - digital content creators, YouTube stars and others in related fields.
She then attended a fundraiser hosted by Napster co-founder and former Facebook president Sean Parker.
Later she attended a reception at the home of cable television entrepreneur and philanthropist Marc Nathanson, where tickets ranged in price from $33,000 to $100,000 per couple.
