Bernie Sanders holds rally at maritime museum in San Pedro

SAN PEDRO, Calif. (KABC) -- Sen. Bernie Sanders held a late-morning rally at the Los Angeles Maritime Museum in San Pedro Friday, speaking to an excited crowd of well over 1,000 people.

During the 11 a.m. gathering, Sanders criticized corporate greed and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. The almost 1,000 person crowd was heavily dominated by labor union members.

"A moral economy is not an economy where CEOs make tens of millions of dollars a year, ship our jobs abroad and take away health care from their workers, " he said.

The Vermont senator and Democratic presidential candidate has spent six straight days aggressively campaigning in the Southland ahead of the June 7 primary.

He will also be interviewed by Bill Maher for a segment on his HBO show "Real Time with Bill Maher."

On Thursday, Sanders spoke at two large rallies in Ventura and Pomona. During his speeches, he talked about a possible debate with Trump.

Earlier in the week, Trump appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and said he would consider debating Sanders if the two could raise at least $10 million to go toward charities of their choosing.
