SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- Three people were injured after robbery suspects set off an incendiary device at a San Bernardino pawn shop during a heist on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the 2600 block of E. Highland Boulevard.

Police said two suspects set off some sort of incendiary device, which sparked a small fire.

A shootout between the suspects and store employees ensued, and one employee was critically wounded. Authorities said a total of three people were injured but did not say who the other two victims were.

The two suspects possibly crashed the vehicle they fled in, but remain at large.

The two should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
