Second vehicle runs interference for suspect in Orange County chase

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (KABC) -- A police pursuit took a dramatic turn when a second vehicle tried to run interference in Los Alamitos.

The chase began around just after midnight Tuesday when officers tried to pull over a white car.

The driver sped off and the chase was on.

Along the way, an SUV with four people inside allegedly tried to get between the suspect vehicle and pursuing officers.

The white car eventually stopped at Victoria and Main in Carson.

One of the suspects tumbled head-first over a wall as he fled. Another man ended up on a roof.

Three people were taken into custody.
