Irvine Spectrum offers discounts, free attractions for Black Friday

IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) -- Stores at Irvine Spectrum were offering steep discounts on Black Friday to attract shoppers, and it seemed to be working.

"We're up about 20 percent... traffic wise, so we're seeing really strong turnout this year," said Stacie Ellis with the Irvine Company Retail Portfolio. "Some of these sales are amazing."

The outdoor shopping mall also offered free ice skating and rides on the ferris wheel and carousel from midnight to 8 a.m. Friday.
