LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles is one creative city, especially when Halloween rolls around! Eye on L.A. host and Halloween lover Tina Malave takes you on a tour of some of the scariest, creepiest, most haunted and all-around fun Halloween spots in town!

From the Hollywood Museum's Dungeon of Doom, here are some fun places to check out, like Knott's Scary Farm and Arclight Theatres.

THE HOLLYWOOD MUSEUM DUNGEON OF DOOM

Time to get scared! Below the Hollywood Museum is their Dungeon of Doom, where you can walk through the actual prison corridor used in "The Silence of the Lambs." Step closer to see Hannibal Lecter's jail cell. You'll also see costumes and props from "The Walking Dead," and the life-size costumes from your favorite cult heroes like Freddy, Jason, Chucky, and more!

The Mexican holiday Dia de Los Muertos is achieving epic popularity, beyond the Latino culture. The theme is to celebrate life and death, and you can learn more about it at MOLAA in Long Beach. And you'll be in awe by the jack-o'-lantern display we found at Descanso Gardens, called The Rise.

MUSEUM OF LATIN AMERICAN ART / DAY OF THE DEAD EXHIBIT

Celebrate the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) at the Museum of Latin American Art with altar-making, special performances and more, now through November 2.

Make sure to like our sister show Vista L.A. on Facebook for more local Dia de los Muertos celebrations.

DESCANSO GARDENS - THE RISE OF THE JACK-O'-LANTERNS

The Rise is on at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge through November 2. Get more information on the exhibit at www.descansogardens.org and get tickets online at www.therise.org.

Here are some tips from the master carvers at The Rise when carving your jack-o'-lanterns at home:

- First, find a pumpkin with a longer stem that is green. The wider the stem, the thicker the pumpkin's skin.

- You can keep your jack-o'-lantern alive longer without mold by spraying it with an antibacterial spray, or by using a mild bleach solution to soak the pumpkin. Another way to do it is to treat it like potter's clay, take a wet towel with a little antibacterial solution on it and leave it overnight to keep the pumpkin hydrated.
