28 buses filled at ABC7's Spark of Love Toy Drive in Anaheim
ABC7's Alysha del Valle and Bri Winkler were joined by a few familiar characters for the Spark of Love toy drive in Anaheim.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- ABC7 and Southern California firefighters are teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program!

The Spark of Love Toy Drive campaign collects new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for underserved children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Toys collected in the respective counties are distributed locally.

ABC7 traffic reporter Alysha Del Valle and meteorologist Bri Winkler were at the Honda Center in Anaheim from 4:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday. Despite the rain, the community's donations helped stuff 28 buses.

Although this was the last Spark of Love event for this year, toys can still be donated at local fire stations or Toys for Tots collection boxes until Dec. 24.

You can also donate online by going to http://calfund.org/abc7-firefighters-spark-love-toy-drive-fund to make a donation via credit card. All proceeds will go to buying toys or sports equipment for the children.
