A Los Angeles pilot program for the homeless has evolved into a permanent way to help people turn over a new leaf.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles pilot program for the homeless has evolved into a permanent way to help people turn over a new leaf.

The program, led by Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, wipes away minor infractions - like tickets and fines - in exchange for community service or taking part in programs that help them get back on their feet.
