President Barack Obama's time in office is coming to an end, and one little boy turned that fact into a clever costume for the White House Halloween event, dressing up as an injured bird.

The young boy greeted the Obamas as he went through the trick-or-treating line outside the White House on Monday. He was dressed in a large yellow duck suit with bandages to indicate he was "lame."

Social media users found the costume clever, even going so far as to say it won Halloween.

Scores of kids showed up in costume to the Obamas' final Halloween celebration, including a little boy dressed as Obama himself. White House photographer Pete Souza was on-hand to capture a cute moment between the president and Walker, the son of press secretary Josh Earnest, who was dressed as Superman.
