WASHINGTON -- A 13-year-old student from Saratoga, California, captured the grand prize of the 2014 International National Geographic photography contest for kids for her amazing picture of a gecko.

Grace Chung beat out more than 16,000 other entrants from 11 countries.

Her photo will be published in the May issue of National Geographic Kids magazine.

She also receives trips to Washington D.C. and Costa Rica.
