You've never seen Mario Kart quite like this.

Mario enthusiasts gathered to play a real-life version of the classic Nintendo 64 game on one of the most famous winding streets in the world, San Francisco's Lombard Street.

While the race was hot and heated, with Mario, Luigi and Peach racing with all of their 64-bit heart, it was Donkey Kong who pulled ahead and won the race.

"It was a ton of fun," said a representative from the Chubbies Shorts, the YouTube channel that posted the video. "We shot it because we love Mario Kart and wanted to relive it and share that experience with our fans."
