Record-setting wisteria vine displayed in annual viewing Sunday
A wisteria vine in a Sierra Madre backyard that has set world records for its size will be open for public viewing Sunday.

SIERRA MADRE, Calif. (KABC) -- The wisteria vine in Nell Solt's Sierra Madre backyard holds over 1 million blooms at its peak and weighs over 250 tons.[br /][br /]And the only chance to see it will be this Sunday, during the annual festival at which she opens her backyard for the horticulture-admiring public.[br /][Ads /][br /]The viewing is part of the annual [url HREF="https://www.facebook.com/Sierra-Madre-Wistaria-Festival-116115834214/[br /]" TARGET="" REL="nofollow"]Sierra Madre Wistaria Festival[/url] downtown, which features vendors, arts and crafts and a shuttle to Solt's home.[br /][br /]Her vine has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest blossoming plant.[br /][br /]The festival will be held Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Sierra Madre and the vine viewing is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
