Solar energy group helps veterans get on-the-job training
Veterans who are volunteers with the nonprofit Grid Alternatives are installing solar panels as a way to help low-income families save money on renewable energy.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- Veterans who are volunteers with the nonprofit Grid Alternatives are installing solar panels as a way to help low-income families save money on renewable energy.

The group is also a form of job training for local veterans and has helped some get jobs in the solar energy industry.
