The Los Angeles Dodgers selected Louisville catcher Will Smith with the No. 32 pick in Thursday night's MLB first-year player draft.
Scouting report: Smith hasn't had consecutive games with a strikeout since February and has struck out just 12 times all season. He has a short, simple stroke and good barrel control and hand-eye coordination.
