It will be a bittersweet night for the Los Angeles Dodgers and their fans as the playoffs begin without legendary announcer Vin Scully calling the game.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- It will be a bittersweet night for the Los Angeles Dodgers and their fans as the playoffs begin without legendary announcer Vin Scully calling the game.

The team announced the 87-year-old underwent a medical procedure that will force him to miss the playoffs. Many will be crying out "Win for Vin."

The National League Division Series against the New York Mets starts Friday at 6:30 p.m.
