Puig surprises customers at Glendale McDonald's
Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig worked the drive-thru in an appearance at a Glendale McDonald's.

GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Loyal Dodgers fans rushed to a Glendale McDonald's after getting word outfielder Yasiel Puig was making an appearance.

"As soon as I heard the news, I got my Dodger stuff and came over here," said Rudy Aguado of North Hollywood.

Some unsuspecting customers got a free meal from the "Wild Horse" himself as they reached the drive-thru window.

"It's my day working at McDonald's, man," Puig told one fan. "That's awesome and I want to say thank you to everybody here and to the fans in Los Angeles," Puig told Eyewitness News.

The surprise was part of the Dodgers Love L.A. community tour across Southern California presented by Bank of America.

"This day is my best day of my life," said one young fan.

"I really appreciate when the players make personal appearances in the public," said decades-long Dodgers fan Terrance Morgan.

Puig took selfies, signed baseballs, phones and even gave one fan a smooch.

Puig assured fans that he and the boys in blue are working hard to win the World Series in 2018.
