UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has been slated to star in a Paramount Pictures film based on her autobiography.

Rousey (12-0) is fresh off a 34-second knockout ofBethe Correia at UFC 190 over the weekend in Rio de Janeiro. Rousey is expected to make her seventh title defense against Miesha Tate later this year before starting work on a Peter Berg-directed film titled "Mile 22."

The 28-year-old Southern Californian has made appearances in Hollywood films before, including "Expendables 3," "Furious 7" and "Entourage." Her autobiography, "My Fight/Your Fight," which Rousey co-wrote with her sister Maria Burns Ortiz, was published earlier this year.

Screenwriter Mark Bomback, whose high-profile works include "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and "The Wolverine," has been brought on to adapt the book to the big screen.

Variety first reported plans for the film.

Rousey's next title defense is expected to be against Tate, whom she has submitted twice already. The UFC has targeted the bout to co-headline a pay-per-view on Dec. 5 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, alongside a featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor.

A December title defense against Tate would mark Rousey's third appearance in the Octagon this year.
