Nearly 90,000 people are expected to pack the Rose Bowl for the sold-out FC Barcelona-Los Angeles Galaxy game, which means heavy traffic in the Pasadena area Tuesday night.

Both teams will be missing key players. FC Barcelona will be without Lionel Messi, the three-time winner of the FIFA Ballon d'Or as the world's best male player, the Brazilian forward Neymar and right back Dani Alves.

The Galaxy will be without goalkeeper Jaime Penedo, forwards Alan Gordon and Gyasi Zardes and defender Omar Gonzalez, who are playing in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Stadium officials are encouraging fans to arrive before 5 p.m. and early-goers and car-poolers will be rewarded with a discounted parking price.

Fans arriving before 5 p.m. will be charged $15 to park, while those arriving after 5 p.m. will pay $30. The parking price for cars with four or more people is $15.

The Rose Bowl parking lots open at 2 p.m. The stadium doors open at 6 p.m.

Adjacent off-site parking will be available in the Parsons Engineering parking lot on Fair Oaks Avenue and Walnut Street and surrounding lots throughout Old Pasadena. Free shuttle bus service from Parsons Engineering will run before, during and after the game, beginning at 3 p.m.
