See your favorite local sports team play for less

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- If you're a sports fan, going to a game can be costly. But you can save some big bucks watching some of your favorite teams, and not just for tickets.

You can pay as low as $10 for a seat at Dodger Stadium. But you can find much cheaper prices on StubHub.

When we checked, we found hundreds of seats for several upcoming games for $6, and no extra fees.

Parking at Dodger Stadium will set you back $15 at the game, or $10 if you buy in advance. But new this year, you can pay just $5 to park in Lot 14 or 13, which are offsite on Stadium Way. It is a bit of a hike uphill to Dodger Stadium from the cheaper lots, but there is a shuttle for those who are disabled.

For an even better deal, you can ride a free Metro Bus between Union Station and Dodger Stadium on game day. Just show your tickets to the driver and the ride won't cost you a dime.

One of the best big league deals for families is an Angel game.

If you buy a "Friends and Family Fun Pack" online, you get four tickets in the upper view, lower view box, or right field pavilion wheelchair areas, along with four hot dogs and four sodas, all at a cost of $60.95, but that includes multiple fees.

But if you buy the same Family Fun Pack at the Angels box office, whether it's on the day of the game or in advance, it will cost you just $44... no fees. Without the "Friends and Family Fun Pack," the hot dogs and sodas alone would cost you $23 so that means that the seat tickets are just a little over $5 each.

Soccer fans can save a lot of money too.

Four general admission tickets to see Chivas USA costs a total of $92, including fees, if you purchase online. But if you buy a "Family Pack," those same seats cost just $65, plus you'll get four hot dogs.

You'll pay about twice that price for the Family Pack for the rival L.A. Galaxy. The family packs run $120 for four tickets, about the same price you'd pay for four single tickets, but you'll also get four hot dogs, four sodas and four limited edition Galaxy scarves.

With all the money you save at the games, eating a hot dog, especially a free one, tastes even better.
