You've probably heard about thesewage overflows and backed-up toilets that have plagued the embattled home of the Oakland A's, O.co Coliseum, in recent years.
But on Friday, it was another California ballpark dealing with a potential smelly situation.
At otherwise pristine Dodger Stadium, a few skunks decided to just chill underneath the photographers stand inside the visiting dugout. And then either didn't or couldn't leave. So there they remained -- no matter what staff members tried to do to coax them out.
From here, we'll let Jim Hayes of Fox Sports Midwest and Jenifer Langosch of MLB.comdocument the tale. They are St. Louis Cardinals reporters who were on #SkunkWatch Friday, and frankly, if Twitter isn't used for something like #SkunkWatch, then we might as well just shut the whole operation down.
So there they remain. One big happy skunk family, just hanging out together, eating salmon and taking in a Cardinals-Dodgers game on a nice Friday evening.
By the way, we're sure this is just a coincidence and the Rise Of The Skunk is not upon us, but another skunk was causing some trouble Friday at Toronto's Rogers Centre, home of the Blue Jays.
So basically, if you're at a baseball game this weekend -- or happen to be a player on the St. Louis Cardinals -- just keep an eye out, OK?
We're not saying skunks are trying to take over America's Pastime or anything. We're just saying there's a chance they are.
