Portland Trail Blazers forward Al-Farouq Aminu is expected to be sidelined 2-3 weeks because of a right ankle sprain.

Aminu had been ruled out for the Blazers' 113-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

After the win, Aminu posted a photo on social media of him on crutches.

Aminu's injury occurred Wednesday in Portland's loss to the Jazz after he rolled his ankle going for a rebound in the second quarter. He limped to the bench after the play. X-rays taken afterward were negative.

"It's just always annoying not being 100 percent," Aminu said after Wednesday's game. "It's a part of the game and everything happens for a reason. It's hard to sometimes to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but you know it's there."

Aminu has averaged 9.6 points and 8.4 rebounds this season.
