Debris from truck crash on overpass causes delays on multiple freeways

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A truck carrying ceramic and glass debris crashed on a transition road between the 101 and 170 freeways, prompting closures as authorities cleared the litter.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities said the truck was crossing over the transition road from the westbound 134 Freeway to the northbound 101 when it crashed.

The items in the truck ended up spilling from the overpass and onto the 101 Freeway where traffic heads to the 170 Freeway.

Authorities temporarily shut down all the lanes on the freeway, but opened one lane shortly before 6 a.m. Some lanes on the westbound 134 Freeway was also shut down.

All lanes on the freeways were opened after 8 a.m.
