SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A crash between an MTA bus and a car resulted in the bus being pushed onto railroad tracks and being struck by a freight train in Sun Valley.
The empty bus first collided with a car at San Fernando Road and Vineland Avenue around 1:45 a.m. Monday, fire officials said. The driver of the car ran a stop sign.
The impact pushed the bus onto the tracks, where a Union Pacific train sideswiped it. The bus was already empty at that point. The train-bus crash was captured on video.
At least three people in the car were taken to the hospital -- one in critical condition.
LAPD investigators are trying to determine what led to the collision.
