3.0-mag. earthquake hits near Manhattan Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A small earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck the Manhattan Beach area on Wednesday afternoon.

The earthquake, which had a depth of 5.7 miles, struck six miles west of Manhattan Beach at 12:23 p.m. PT.

Residents reported feeling shaking from the quake in Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica and Torrance.
