SAN PEDRO, Calif. (KABC) -- A preliminary 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck about 6 miles southwest of San Pedro Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor, which hit at 7:50 p.m., had a depth of 3.4 miles and was about 7 miles southeast of Rancho Palos Verdes and 11 miles southwest of Long Beach.
Shaking could be felt in Torrance, Huntington Beach, Downey and Canoga Park. Several ABC7 viewers described it as a quick jolt.
Los Angeles firefighters were checking neighborhoods for any damage, Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas tweeted. No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
