AVALON, Calif. (KABC) -- A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck Wednesday afternoon off the Southern California coast past Santa Catalina Island.

The quake struck at a depth of about six miles, centered roughly 46 miles to the southwest of Avalon at 3:15 p.m. according to the USGS.

There were no reports of damage.
