November's moon will be extra super
The super moon in November will be at its closest to earth since 1948.

Mark November 14 on your calendar, because a rare super moon will be arriving.

Super moons happen when the moon is in the Perigee side of its orbit around earth. This puts the moon 30,000 feet closer to our planet, making the satellite look even bigger and brighter than usual. But November 14th's moon will be at its closest to earth since 1948, according to AccuWeather.

The moon won't be as close to our planet again until November 25, 2034.
