Pacific Coast Highway was closed in both directions one mile west of Yerba Buena Road in Ventura County. Authorities said the closure, which runs from Las Posas Road to Yerba Buena Road, was expected to last through the weekend. Last week, crews had to shut down a nine-mile stretch of PCH also because of a mudslide.

A mudslide was also to blame for the closure of Westlake Boulevard at Mulholland Highway. Low-hanging power lines were also reported in the area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's officials also warned commuters of flooding in the 30800 block of Agoura Road. The street was not closed, but many vehicles were unable to drive through the deep water.

In the valley, streets near the Sepulveda Basin were closed due to flooding. LAPD said street closures include Burbank Boulevard from the 405 Freeway to Balboa Boulevard.

In Long Beach, all lanes of the 710 Freeway were shut briefly at PCH due to flooding, causing some cars to get stuck in standing water. All lanes have since reopened.
