Murder-suicide of couple in Torrance prompts investigation

TORRANCE, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are investigating a murder-suicide of a man and woman in Torrance early Sunday.

Torrance authorities discovered the bodies of a 47-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man after responding to a call of gunshots in the area.

The shooting happened at a home on 180th Place around 12:30 a.m.

Authorities said the victims were dating and believe the incident is related to domestic violence, but it was unclear which one pulled the trigger.

The identities of the victims will be withheld until their families are notified.
