Hayden Panettiere receiving treatment for postpartum depression

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Actress Hayden Panettiere is receiving medical attention for postpartum depression, her publicist confirmed on Tuesday.

"Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time," her publicist said in a statement.

Panettiere, 26, is mother to 10-month-old daughter Kaya. The "Nashville" star plays Juliette Barnes on the ABC show, and her character is also going through postpartum depression.
