Car crashes into Commerce yogurt shop, catches fire

COMMERCE, Calif. (KABC) -- A car slammed into a yogurt shop and caught fire in the city of Commerce early Tuesday morning. The driver fled the scene.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Red Berry Frozen Yogurt on the 5400 block of Whittier Boulevard.

Fire officials said after the car crashed and caught fire, the flames quickly spread to the store.

Los Angeles County firefighters knocked the fire down in approximately 20 minutes.

The driver was gone by time emergency crews arrived and remains at large.

No injuries were reported.
