Gunman sought after shooting at sheriff's deputy patrol car in Jurupa Valley

JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Riverside County sheriff's deputies are searching for the suspect who brazenly opened fire on a patrol car in Jurupa Valley Tuesday night.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of 50th and Bain streets shortly before 9 p.m.

Sheriff's deputies were about to leave the area after responding to a disturbance call involving a juvenile when their patrol car was fired upon, authorities said. No one was injured. It was unclear how many shots were fired.
