VENICE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles County lifeguards rescued two people after their sailboat ran aground near the Venice Pier on Saturday.
The call came in around 6 p.m. When help arrived, the two passengers jumped from the 32-foot-long sailboat.
About an hour later, lifeguards reported on Twitter that they had brought the two passengers to shore and that neither was hurt.
Baywatch rescue boats also responded to tow the beached boat back out to sea.
