SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- Some firefighters with huge hearts did their part to make it a happy holiday season for a hero Phelan boy who saved his grandmother when flames ripped through his house.

Sunday, San Bernadino County firefighters who responded to the call took 5-year-old Nathaniel Stocks on a special shopping trip.

Their mission was to replace toys Daniel lost when fire gutted his family's home earlier this month.

Nathaniel used what he'd learned in a fire safety class just days earlier and helped get his grandmother out of the house safely.
