CASTAIC, California (KABC) -- The 5 Freeway heading northbound was closed at Parker Road in Castaic due to a mudslide in the Fort Tejon area Sunday evening.
The freeway closure caused headaches for motorists who sat in traffic for hours.
Caltrans said the freeway opened again at about 11:30 p.m.
The National Weather Service said some areas received a half inch of rain on Sunday.
A mudslide closed the 5 Freeway in both directions on Oct. 15 after nearly 3 inches of rain fell in the area.
