65-year-old man found dead after Koreatown fire

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 65-year-old man was found dead after an apartment fire erupted in Los Angeles' Koreatown Wednesday night.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at a three-story building on South Hobart Boulevard and West 5th Street just before 10 p.m.

It took about 15 minutes for crews to knock down the fire, and they were able to contain it to just one unit.

The man's body was found inside the damaged apartment. His name has not been released.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
