Baby langur 'Tao' makes public debut at LA Zoo
Just in time for the Year of the Monkey, a baby langur made his public debut at the Los Angeles Zoo.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Just in time for the Year of the Monkey, a baby langur made his public debut at the Los Angeles Zoo.

Zoo keepers gave a sneak peak of "Tao" during the kick off of their new Lunar New Year celebrations on Friday.

Tao had just reunited with his troop after coming out of emergency care when his mother died after his birth.

Another female langur is now caring for Tao as if he was her own.

"He shows us what a loving family can be, and it's amazing that this is the year of the monkey, that he came to us. We're just really, really blessed to have him," said Krissy Parada of the L.A. Zoo.

Guests were able to view Tao and his new family next to Tiger Plaza, daily.
