18-year-old shot, critically injured in Carson; $20K reward offered

CARSON, Calif. (KABC) -- A $20,000 reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of whoever shot and critically injured an 18-year-old in Carson.

Sheriff's officials said they received a call of shots fired near the intersection of Dolores and 228th streets on April 13 shortly before 12:30 a.m.

Responding deputies found Justin Uy down on the sidewalk. Investigators said he was standing on the corner of the intersection at the time of the shooting.

He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. No suspect information was immediately available.
