SAN FRANCISCO -- Nutrition & Fitness Expert Valerie Orsoni's passion for fitness started in her 20s. Today, she climbs mountains to encourage others to move mountains.

"Once I started discovering how strong I was then I thought initially, I thought I can do more than just running and training at the gym," explained Orsoni. "I can climb mountains."

She added, "I just find such joy in reaching a super high elevation, these peaks where people think I can't make it. It's kind of like me telling them, 'hey, I did it,' and it's also telling my old self, 'guess what, you can do more than you thought you could do.'"

Valerie was the first amateur to summit 20 peaks over 4,000 meters in 9 days.

"Training for an expedition is intense, it's every day," explained Orsoni. "I do 'Warrior Training' two or three times a week, these are 45 minutes to an hour, very heavy weight training. I run at least 16K a week in one shot. I stretch every single day."

In 2022, Valerie reached the South Pole by ski, and climbed Vinson (the highest peak in Antarctica). She hopes that this coupled with founding her own fitness community, LeBootCamp, will inspire others to start their personal health journeys.

"I see so many women who underestimate their power," said Orsoni. "You can really change your life for the better, and it's never too late to do so."
