LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A Long Beach teen had two women attack his pregnant girlfriend in an attempt to force a miscarriage, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Prosecutors said 17-year-old Angel Contreras plotted with 18-year-old Claudia Rodriguez and 19-year-old Candy Patricio to attack his pregnant girlfriend so she would miscarry.

Contreras' girlfriend was walking to his home on March 4 when she was confronted and punched in the stomach by Rodriguez and Patricio, prosecutor stated.

Less than three weeks later, officials said Contreras boarded a bus with his girlfriend and alerted Rodriguez and Patricio of their location so they could attack her again.

When Contreras' girlfriend exited the bus, she was assaulted by Rodriguez and Patricio, who tried to drag her into a car, prosecutors said.

Officials said a passerby witnessed the attack and saved the victim from being kidnapped.

Contreras, Rodriguez and Patricio each face two counts of attempted murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and one count of kidnapping and assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.

The suspects were scheduled to be in court on May 31.
