Big rig crash, fuel spill shuts northbound lanes of 57 Freeway in Glendora

GLENDORA, Calif. (KABC) -- Multiple lanes on the northbound 57 Freeway were closed early Thursday morning due to a big rig crash and fuel spill near the 210 interchange in Glendora.

The spill was first reported around 1 a.m. The tank of a big rig ruptured, causing about 100 gallons of fuel to spill onto the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The cleanup closed down all northbound lanes of the 57 Freeway between Arrow Highway and the 210 Freeway. Crews began reopening lanes around 5 a.m.

However, several lanes remained shut on the northbound 57 Freeway. Also, the transition from northbound 57 Freeway to the westbound 210 Freeway was closed, CHP said.

All lanes were reopened by around 6:45 a.m.
