LONDON (KABC) -- Burger lovers in London discovered what a long wait was all about on Wednesday, when the wildly popular In-N-Out fast-food chain opened a pop-up store and a seemingly endless stream of customers lined up outside.

Eager to indulge in the staple of West Coast cuisine, the famished Londoners stood in the queue for hours before ordering such favorites as double-doubles with grilled onions and animal style french fries.

A passing motorist recorded a video of the interminable line, which formed on a sidewalk and -- naturally -- made its way past one of the city's signature red double-decker buses.

The pop-up restaurant was open for a mere four hours.

It is unclear whether the Irvine-based company plans to open a permanent location in the British capital.
