SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- It was a day of service for AEG employees as they worked together to help an elementary school in South Los Angeles on Monday.

More than 300 AEG employees - which include people who work for the Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Galaxy, Staples Center and L.A. Live - gathered at 49th Street Elementary School to work on a beatification project.

"For us to have opportunity to give back, it's pretty special," Luc Robitaille of the Kings said. "What it'll do a lot of times is later in life, you remember and you start to think, "Oh I remember they used to come and that was kind of neat,' then they might do it too and help make a difference."

The AEG employees created a colorful and vibrant environment for the school that has more than 800 students.
